With the value of the Rupiah making exchange rate for tourists strong, and labor in Bali being cheap, Bali produces many items for sale at great prices for shoppers.

In the old days, most of our shops were market-style – open air with lots of t-shirts and sarongs and wooden gifts. We still have many, many shops like this and they are still very cheap if you barter well, but now Bali also has many newer shops with air-conditioning and selling more modern things.
